Wellness Programs

All employees, full and part time, can participate in the wellness events and challenges.

Benefit eligible employees (even if not enrolled in coverage) can also participate in the wellness screenings, earn credit toward the deductible and receive reimbursement for gym memberships, community sponsored fitness events, and tobacco termination.

For more information on the Wellness Programs, refer to the Health Benefits Guide.

EARN A DEDUCTIBLE CREDIT FOR YOUR 2027 MEDICAL DEDUCTIBLE

This year you are encouraged to track active minutes just like you track your time at work. By submitting your time, you’ll be eligible to win prizes throughout the year.

Benefit eligible employees can earn a medical deductible credit for the 2027 plan year by submitting bi-weekly “timesheets” to track active minutes and “overtime” from wellness events and EAP webinars.

To earn the credit, you must also complete a wellness screening during 2026, plus you’ll earn 60 minutes of overtime for doing so.

The more you move, the more credit you earn:
$25 - 5,000 Active Minutes
$50 - 6,500 Active Minutes
$75 - 8,000 Active Minutes
$100 - 9,500 Active Minutes

For most healthy adults, the Department of Health and Human Services recommends these exercise guidelines:

Aerobic Activity: Get at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity a week. Think brisk walking, push mowing the lawn, biking, etc.

Strength Training: Do strength training for all major muscle groups at least two times per week. You don’t need weight machines to get a workout. Your own body weight and resistance bands can be just as effective.

As a general goal, aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate physical activity every day. According to the Mayo Clinic, cutting down on sitting time is important, too. The more hours you sit each day, the higher your risk of metabolic problems.

Short on long blocks of time? Even brief bouts of activity offers benefits. Any activity is better than none at all. What’s important is making regular physical activity part of your lifestyle.

WELLNESS OVERTIME

Events are also available to help boost your total minutes. Earn 60 minutes for viewing the featured 2026 EAP Webinars and 30 minutes for each 2026 lunch and learn program.

Other overtime events will be offered throughout the year. Just submit proof of attendance and track your overtime on your timesheet to earn the credit.
